Why Give?

Giving is our response to God’s wonderful grace and the amazing gift of his son to us. Generous giving blesses others and helps to supply the needs of God’s people. Giving is also an act of obedience and trust. When we give we are saying that God, not ourselves or anyone else, provides for our needs. Giving should never be forced or grudging, but rather cheerfully and by one’s own choice. The Bible says: ‘Let each one give as they have decided in their own heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver’ (2 Corinthians 9:7).

If you’re struggling financially: Giving financially is just one way of expressing generosity. If you’re struggling financially or in debt, we encourage you to express generosity in a non-financial way by serving on a team, praying for the Church, or being generous with your time towards others. You can set up a standing order which will help us with our finances and budgeting for the year ahead.

Leaving a gift in your Will to your local church is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can continue to support the mission and ministry in your community.

A gift can be an expression of your gratitude and thanksgiving towards God, and can help keep your local church alive, and help transform its future.

Please do take legal advice if you are considering leaving a bequest.
